Miguel Nacianceno

Miguel Nacianceno was born in Manila, Philippines, in 1979. At the Ateneo de Manila University, he served as photo editor of The Guidon, the university newspaper, in his junior and senior year. After graduating with a degree in Communication Arts in 2001, he had a stint as a staff photographer for Newsbreak, a local news magazine.

Miguel went on to work on a personal project, which eventually culminated with his first exhibit, Carnival Photography (Lumiere Gallery, 2004). He took a film workshop in New York in 2004. His photographs from that trip made up his second exhibit, Commonplace (Lumiere Gallery, 2006).

In 2008, Miguel wrote and directed his short film, Training.
